CASHAPP is known as a mobile payment service which allows users to transfer money between themselves using an app.
On August 27, 2021, some users were having difficulty trying to run the app on their mobile devices.
Is the Cash application down?
At around 1:40 p.m. EST, many users reported issues with the app.
According to Downdetector, users were reporting three main issues including signing in, transferring money, and issues with their website.
Many users then took to Twitter to try and figure out what was going on.
One user first tweeted: “@CashApp, what’s wrong with the app, every time I click on it kicks me out. Is it a bug or because my app is down? day and that started to happen today. “
Another added: “@CashSupport, the portal says stocks and bitcoin are working, but my whole app closes on opening. The phone has been reset. I haven’t reinstalled the app yet but it doesn’t not working at the moment. “
At 12:47 p.m. PDT, the Cash Apps website reported that it had fixed issues preventing customers from adding boosts to their payment card and most other features should be operational again.
“Most of the functionality should return to normal and work as expected. If your app continues to crash, please remove and reinstall the app on your mobile device,” the website says.
Were there any other issues with Cash App in August 2021?
So far in August 2021, Cash App has encountered seven different issues.
These problems include:

- June 9-August 11: The application was crashing due to the last ppdate
- August 16: Intermittent connection problems
- August 18: Payments were not showing in “Activity Feed”
- August 23: The balances were not displayed correctly
