Got money in your Cash App account that you need to transfer somewhere else? Here’s how to cash out those funds in seconds and get them moving!
Receive money on cash app is extremely simple, but after receiving funds in your account, how do you collect them and transfer them to your bank? There are many apps to transfer money between friends and family. Between Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay Cash, and sending money through Facebook Messenger, the options are virtually endless.
Cash App is another extremely popular option. The heart of Cash App revolves around sending/receiving money from other users. However, there is also a parcel more to that. Cash App users can trade stocks, invest in Bitcoin, add their direct deposit, file taxes for free, and even get a free debit card with cashback offers on brands like Instacart and Burger King. Having so many features is great, but it can also make finding certain features a bit difficult.
One of the most basic features of Cash App is the ability to collect your money. If you receive funds from someone, withdrawing them allows you to easily transfer that money from Cash App to another bank account or a credit union. As long as you know where to look, withdrawing money from Cash App is quite easy. Open Cash App and tap the button in the lower left corner (this will be the one that will show how much money is in your Cash App account). Tap “Withdraw” on this page, enter the amount you want to transfer, then tap the green “Withdraw” button at the bottom of the screen.
How long does it take to withdraw your money from Cash App
After pressing the Cash Out button, users are prompted to decide how quickly they want their money transferred. If you choose the “Standard” option, funds withdrawn take between one and three business days. Some funds are available the next day, some are available in two days, and others may take the full three days. It all depends on the bank you are transferring money to and how quickly they process that money. The big advantage of using the Standard option is that it is 100% free. It may take a little longer, but you won’t pay anything to withdraw your money this way.
The other option offered by Cash App is “Instant”. As the name suggests, transferring with Instant makes your money available instantly. However, it also comes with a small fee. Users who cash out with Instant can expect to pay between 0.5-1.75% of the funds they cash out (with a minimum fee of $0.25). Whether it is worth it or not is entirely up to you. If you need your money immediately, the instant cashout option is ideal. However, if you don’t mind waiting a day or two, you might as well choose Standard and keep all your money.
