Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow has announced that she will give away $ 500,000 in Bitcoin to her subscribers as part of a new partnership with the crypto payment platform Cash App.
According to a series of social media posts, Paltrow is partnering with Square’s Cash app to promote Bitcoin adoption and acceptance.
Four days ago, the popular actress wrote on Instagram:
“Participating in the world of cryptocurrency seemed exclusive to me, especially for women. I was on a show called Planet of the Apps in 2017, and it was my first real experience learning crypto and blockchain, but it took me a few years to get comfortable with it. ‘buy Bitcoin.
“There are a lot of factors to consider, and historically there was a high barrier of entry to even buying it. In order to democratize who can participate, @CashApp is now making it easier to offer Bitcoin. And the best part – I can give you $ 500,000 worth of Bitcoin to spread the holiday cheer. Paltrow is one of many well-known celebrities to represent the Cash App giveaway campaign, which kicked off in November. In addition to the actress, Cash App has partnered with Aaron Rodgers of the NFL, who also claims to take part of his salary in Bitcoin.
